Road River Films was founded in Berlin in November 2021 by Afsun Moshiry as a sole proprietorship and transformed into a limited liability company (GmbH) in 2025 together with Anne Winkler.

This young film company is dedicated to promoting exceptional narrative and non-narrative formats in both documentary and feature films. Its aim is to develop a distinctive cinematic language and thereby reach a broad audience. A particular focus is placed on collaborating with transnational directors from the MENA region and South America who are based in Europe.
